Garden City Community Cats Project (GCCCP) is just one of many rescues and community members that benefit enormously from Idaho Humane Society (IHS), the No Kill animal shelter for Ada County.

We became active volunteers for IHS, at the old Dorman facility, 3 years ago when Garden City renewed its contract with the shelter. This is where EVERY ANIMAL that comes to IHS is compassionately processed and cared for, until they are dispersed to their new lives. Knowing what it was like without this amazing resource made us grateful beyond words. We show our gratitude by many hours of volunteering in all departments, hoping GCCCP would be welcomed as an asset.

When people donate they usually don't know where their financial gifts go. GCCCP decided to show the good people who give, how relevant their gifts are. We offer a chance for you to replace the old dryer that keeps breaking down, leaving loads of towels and bedding piled in the hall, and employees and volunteers struggling to make their animals comfortable.

If we see that our community likes this opportunity, GCCCP will offer another project to donate to. Slowly we will update the old Dorman shelter, making it a more efficient place to work for its employees and volunteers, and more comfortable for the thousands of rescued animals that depend on it.
