Welcome to Equiatude Foundation, where we believe in the transformative power of equine therapy for women and children who have endured the trauma of physical or sexual abuse. Our mission is to rehabilitate "off-track thoroughbreds" – horses previously used for racing – and harness their ability to provide healing and support to those in need.

Living through abuse can shatter one's sense of self-worth and identity. Women in these situations often find themselves lost, struggling to navigate a world that feels dominated by fear and confusion. They lose touch with what truly matters in life, feeling as though they constantly fall short or do something wrong. Many endure the debilitating effects of PTSD, which can strain their ability to form trusting relationships and engage fully with the world around them.

Horses transitioning from the intensity of the racetrack face their own challenges. They often bear emotional scars and physical injuries, requiring patience and understanding as they adjust to their new role as therapy animals.

At Equiatude, our goal-oriented programs leverage the gentle strength of these animals to help our clients quiet the noise of their minds and rediscover purpose and confidence in their lives. We have created a beautiful and peaceful environment on the farm where individuals are encouraged to breathe deeply, connect with nature, and embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery.
