Empire State Community Drag Awards 2025: Preliminary Round

The road to celebrating New York’s most talented drag performers begins February 1st! Here’s everything you need to know about the preliminary rounds and how you can be part of this exciting journey:

🌟 February: Open Nominations
From February 1 to February 28, nominations are open to all drag performers across New York State! Whether they light up stages, social media, or local events, this is your opportunity to put their names in the spotlight. Submissions should include the performer’s name, a brief bio, and links to their work (socials, videos, photos, etc.).

🌟 March: Public Voting for Top-10 Finalists
On March 1, nominees that meet the criteria will be registered and posted. Public voting will then run from March 1 to March 31, giving you the chance to vote for your favorite finalist. The top 10 most-voted artists will move onto the Finals.

🌟 April: Final Voting to Pick the Winners
In April, the top 10 voted performers will be revealed, and through another round of public voting, a winner, along with first and second runner-up, will be chosen. The winner and runners-up will be crowned at the end of the month, sharing thousands in grant awards for their community impact!

🎭 How to Participate:
• February: Nominate your favorite performers using our official submission form, which will be available on the Beyond Earth Foundation website and social media.
• March & April: Cast your votes during each voting period and help your favorites win!
