Earth Scouts! is launching an outdoor education program for teens in the Illinois Valley starting April 1st, 2022!

This is a series of six workshops spread out over several months.
Each skillshare day is four hours long, making the series a total of 24 hours.

The group will meet every other Friday from 12 PM - 4 PM at Frog Farm, located at
9044 Takilma Road, Cave Junction, OR, 97523

April 1st - Orientation/Journal Making

April 15th - Prep U Day 1: Prepared mindset, Fire Building, Fire Extinguishing, Rocket Stove Building, Knot tying, Shelter building

April 29th - Herb walk with Deb Lukas (more to be added to this day)

May 13th - Prep U Day 2: Emergency food preparation, Water location/filtration/purification & more

May 27th - Introduction to Grief & Eco printing with Angela Franklin

June 10th - Graduation (more to be added to this day)

Pricing is on a sliding scale, depending on your financial status.
We ask for anywhere from $480 - $120 for the entire series or $80 - $20 per workshop day.
Contact us at earthscouts.slc@gmail.com to figure out what price you are comfortable with. If the $120 per series or $20 per day is not feasible either, don't hesitate to reach out, as we want to make sure no one gets turned away for lack of funds.

To raise the funds needed we are asking those taking advantage of the scholarships to chip in by volunteering with us at some of our fundraising events.

Some of those events include the recycling fundraiser hosted by IVCan Do - Cans for Kids on Saturday (March 28th) from 10 AM until 2 PM behind the Chevron in Cave Junction.

Another event would be the May Day skill share event on May 1st, taking place at Frog Farm. There we would need help setting up, breaking down, running our info booth, and signing up new members.
