Giving Tuesday 2023 - Thread Up Oxford

If you've ever donated textiles, we hope you'll consider ALSO donating money to help us keep going. Because we're kind of in this together. Since 2021, YOU'VE had a place to take your discarded textiles and feel good that they are being reused and recycled into your community. Since 2021, WE'VE worked hard to make that happen. And we need your financial support to keep going.

Thread Up Oxford is a small scale solution to a global problem. There are currently no city or county sponsored options for recycling textiles the way there are for appliances, electronics, hazardous waste, etc. For two years now, Thread Up Oxford has worked hard to become your go-to resource. This year, we:

• are on track to collect and process 40-ish TONS of textiles -- at no charge -- via both donation centers in Oxford
• continue distributing free socks (nearly 1,000 pairs so far), clothing, and household textiles — about $4,000 worth in 2023

It costs us $4K/month to run Thread Up Oxford / Uptown Threads -- and we can't do it without you.
