My name is Lena Blondell, a filmmaker and Howard University junior studying Film with a minor in Graphic Design. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling that makes people feel something—especially stories about love, identity, relationships, and the complicated emotions we often struggle to put into words.

I’m currently creating Everlasting, an intimate short drama about two young people who reunite after a painful breakup for one final conversation. Through their opposing perspectives, the film explores love, communication, trust, and what it means to let go of someone you once believed would be in your life forever.

As a young Black filmmaker, I want to create stories that allow Black characters to experience the full range of human emotion. Everlasting isn't simply a breakup story; it is a story about two people who loved each other deeply but couldn't always understand what the other person needed. I’m raising funds to help bring Everlasting to life at the level this story deserves. Donations will support production expenses including equipment, locations, production design, costumes, food for cast and crew, transportation, post-production, and other essential filmmaking costs.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us move one step closer to creating this film. If you believe in emerging filmmakers, authentic stories, and the power of independent film, I invite you to support Everlasting and become part of its journey.

Thank you for believing in this story and in me as a filmmaker. make sure to follow our journey on our social media! https://www.instagram.com/everlasting_film.lb/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
