Story
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (EBCC) was founded in 1979 and has provided over 43 years of free services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the state of Rhode Island. EBCC serves approximately 39% of the state's population, providing services to over 3,500 individuals annually. EBCC's services include emergency shelter, free crisis counseling, support groups, case management, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and our crisis hotline. EBCC has an office in Kent County Courthouse that provides support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault within the justice system, both criminal and civil. EBCC also has law enforcement advocates who work within Warwick, West Warwick, Cranston, Johnston, Lincoln, North Providence, North Smithfield, Smithfield, Foster, Glocester, Scituate, East Greenwich, Coventry, and West Greenwich police stations. Additionally, EBCC provides community and professional trainings. To learn more about our services and all that we do, please visit www.ebccenter.org.
