The Edgewood Cemetery was abandoned in the early 1980s and then for several years it fell into disarray. In 2015, a small group of Pottstown residents created a non-profit 501(c)(13) group - Edgewood Historic Cemetery, Inc. Since the beginning, the mission has been to keep the grass mowed and take care of general upkeep. Because of the work necessary from Spring through Fall, the cost of groundskeeping is about $25,000 annually.
