This spring, International HELP will return to equip six different Community Health Worker (CHW) groups, totaling approximately 60 individual CHWs. Here’s what the upcoming trip will include:
Initial CHW Training | Masahuat
We’re excited to train a brand-new group of health workers in Masahuat, a community we were connected to through the district’s Diputado (congressman) in 2024.Pilot Advanced First Aid Certification | El Sunza & Ojo de Agua
El Sunza was one of our very first international groups (trained in 2017), and Ojo de Agua was trained in 2023. This pilot certification builds on years of trust and experience while working to expand the CHWs’ ability to aid their communities during emergencies.Advanced Maternal Health Certification | Las Negritas & El Jute
These groups, trained in 2023 and 2024, are ready to take the next step in protecting mothers and babies.Virtual Advanced Nutrition Certification | COFAVAD
Originally trained in 2018, this group will receive advanced nutrition training through a virtual format, allowing them to continue serving while balancing work and family life.
