Attendees will learn about the risk factors and signs of elder abuse, how to safely report abuse, connections to case management and counseling services, home care for and respite for the caregivers, nursing consultations, transportation, Meals On Wheels, and other services. Homefirst is a 501 (C)3 nonprofit organization providing homeless prevention assistance, and family support services to strengthen families and build communities in Union County. Project CEASSE (Combatting Elder Abuse Through Supportive Services and Education) is a program in Union County developed to educate professional and lay community members, and the older adults themselves, about elder abuse.
