The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland’s mission is to enrich the lives of the diverse LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, support, education, and celebration. Our vision is that the LGBTQ+ community is embraced and celebrated as an integral part of the thriving Northeast Ohio region.
The Center runs numerous programs including QYOU for our youth, SAGE for our community elders, and TransWellness for our transgender and/or gender nonconforming neighbors. We also host numerous community groups in our 15,000 square foot building that also houses a MetroHealth Pride Clinic, a full-scale industrial kitchen to support food distribution, a cyber center, a library, open and safe spaces for all, and even a CMSD school!
Moreover, our mission extends beyond our walls via street outreach that brings food, safe sex kits, HIV/STI prevention, and love to our most vulnerable neighbors. And, we empower our wider community through planning and hosting events such as Pride in the CLE and Trans in the CLE.
Our values are to strive for excellence in programming and all aspects of our work, and we are committed to being welcoming to all people. We will conduct all aspects of our business with compassion and integrity. We will be proactive in addressing community needs within our mission, and we believe partnerships and collaboration with community stakeholders enable us to enhance our work for constituents.
