ABOUT EMERALD M THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER

Our mission at Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center is Hope, Renewal, and Growth, the meaning of the emerald gemstone. 

Using equine-assisted therapies, we strive to bring hope into the lives of the people we serve, provide them with a renewed sense of self, and give them an opportunity for growth.

Emerald M provides services to children aged 2-18 facing a wide range of challenges. Our services extend to those in the foster care system, recently adopted, or navigating the difficult journey of cancer treatment and recovery. We also assist children battling debilitating physical conditions, overcoming physical or emotional trauma, or managing social, emotional, and learning challenges. Additionally, we proudly serve children of active-duty military members and veterans. 

We currently serve children from nine surrounding counties.

At Emerald M, we seek to address the misconception that children with unique abilities are unable to contribute to society, that children in the foster system are broken, and that instead of being an asset, research points to them being a statistic. We provide a space where they are not judged, where they feel safe, where their strengths are enhanced, and where they feel confident. We meet our participants, their families, and caregivers where they are and give them the tools to rise above their circumstances, recognize their capabilities, and find their purpose.

We rely on the generosity of our donors and supporters for our operational expenses, care for our horses, improvements to our facilities, aiding in expanding our programs, and providing complimentary services.
