I want you to picture something for a moment.

A little girl or boy, maybe 5 or 6, is being moved to another foster home. They don't get to choose where they are going and don't have time to say goodbye. Everything they own is shoved into a black trash bag.

Not because they did anything wrong.
Not because they aren't loved.
But because the system was never built to carry their story with care.

That’s where the Journey Totes & EmpowHIM programs, powered by EmpowHer Enterprises Inc., come in.

We show up in those in-between moments—the ones no one likes to talk about—with something simple but full of meaning: a suitcase.

We call them Journey Totes. Each Tote is packed with brand-new clothes, toiletries, school supplies, and a note that says, You matter. You are not invisible.

We also aim to spread love, hope, and joy to individuals impacted by foster care through our Empower a Wish program, which provides meaningful yet straightforward wishes. We make every effort to ensure that every wish is granted, and we rely on our amazing supporters to make this possible.

It may not seem like much, but it's everything for a child who’s been through more than most adults.

And it doesn’t stop there...

We bring stories to life through Beyond the BookShelf, a literacy program that travels to libraries, turning reading into a full experience—games, characters, music, and books that reflect the kids we serve. For many, it’s their first time invited into a story that felt like theirs.

Then there’s EmpowHIM—our space for boys and young men to heal, grow, and lead. Some of these young men have never had anyone show them how to tie a tie, look someone in the eye, or believe in themselves without conditions. We give them the tools, the mentorship, and the space to step into the men they’re becoming.

We also provide a Self-Confidence Coaching Workshop, an empowerment-based personal development series designed to help participants, particularly women and girls from underserved or transitional communities, build lasting self-worth, overcome internal barriers, and unlock their full potential. The workshop fosters a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, identity reclamation, and emotional healing through guided coaching sessions, experiential activities, group discussions, and self-reflection exercises.

Lastly, we host several events, including a Back 2 School event and our Annual Community Christmas Party & Toy Giveaway, where we honor community leaders and, more importantly, give away thousands of toys to children.

This work is deeply personal.
