By helping to 'adopt' a village in western Kenya, you will play a vital role in transforming a rural community through innovative health initiatives and economic sustainability programs. At Global Health Connections (GHC), our Community Health and Empowerment Club (CHEC) approach empowers villagers with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to improve their health, build sustainable livelihoods, and create economic opportunities. Through initiatives like health education, small business training, and growing kitchen gardens, we enable communities to overcome challenges like malnutrition, unemployment, and limited access to healthcare. Additionally, we provide leadership training to the elected sustainable governance committee, ensuring they are equipped to carry on our mission and maintain progress long after we depart the village.
