Dear TomTod friend,

This year has brought new opportunities and unexpected hurdles for TomTod Ideas—and me personally. In April, I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor that impacted not only my life but the organization I lead. As you can imagine, navigating this has come with financial challenges for TomTod.

But through it all, our mission remains: empowering middle schoolers to connect with their communities, use their voices, and make an impact.

Below, you will find three stories that share more about the impact this community has helped make possible, and how we fulfill this mission. You'll see how a group of students connects generations through a project called Elder Care. You'll see one of our alumni and get a first look at how they carry on lessons they've learned through TomTod programs. You'll hear a camper mom share about her middle schooler being inspired to make an impact while at Camp What If this summer.
