Unfolded: Poetry Project is a 501(c)(3) organization operating in McAllen, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. Our mission is to inspire individuality through the practice of our written and spoken voice, fostering a collective human connection and shared understanding. Since our founding in March 2022 by Victoria Lopez, Abigail "Avi" Vela, and Sonáli, we have been committed to creating a space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions through poetry.

Our programming includes bi-monthly workshops, monthly open mic events, virtual poetry challenges, and themed writing sessions designed to enhance literacy, foster emotional intelligence, and promote self-expression. We create accessible spaces where poets of all levels can connect, learn, and share their stories in a supportive environment. Your donation will help us maintain and expand these free community workshops, provide materials for participants, and cover operational costs, ensuring that more individuals can benefit from our programs and resources.

Our vision is to create a world where individuals achieve personal growth and self-reflection through the transformative power of writing, fostering a compassionate and connected community.
