According to the National Institutes of Health, over 23 million miscarriages occur worldwide every year. In the United States, 1 in 4 women has experienced pregnancy loss. Delivering an angel baby (one born without a heartbeat) is a traumatic and life-altering experience, one that comes with increased risk of anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and even suicide.

My name is Nicole Chrysler, and I am the mother of an angel baby. My son, Evan James, was born November 8, 2023, after having died at 13 weeks gestation. One thing that helped ease my grief was the handmade hat, blanket, and wrap that the hospital gave me for my son. They are a beautiful keepsake and a reminder that my son and his life mattered. When Evan was born, he weighed 22 grams, less than an ounce, and was 4 inches long. Because he was so small, his hat was too big. While I didn't mind that at all, it did give me an idea to make and donate items in several sizes so that each baby would have something in the perfect size. This idea has grown to what is now Evan’s Box.

Evan's Box provides grieving families with handmade items to clothe their tiny angels. Crocheted, sewn, and monetary donations help local hospitals across the United States provide items that will fit angels of all sizes. Our goal is to have an Evan’s Box in at least one hospital in each state. We would love to invite you to become a part of this important mission by making a financial donation. Funds are used to purchase yarn, hooks, vinyl for decals, and other supplies, as well as to offset postage costs. Our organization has grown much faster than anticipated, which is amazing, but we need additional funds to keep up with demands.
