Fridge to Fork Initiative

We are excited to announce our newest community connection point - The Fridge to Fork Initiative! We get together to cook large batches of food to not only nourish each other, but place the meals in our Community Fridges.

This is a show of what small groups of people working together can accomplish - this is mutual aid in action. 

These pre-cooked meals allow anyone who needs food to access it, immediately, without having to find a place to cook or even reheat the meal. Having access to already made meals makes a difference in many people's ability to eat.

This community building is vital to the success of all people involved. This time together allows us to strengthen our bonds as we work to create a place of equity, support, and safety for all people. This time together lets us nourish our community, as we nourish ourselves. 

The meals we make  cost around 75 cents a tray - and approximately 70 people benefit from the efforts made.

We encourage our followers to start something similar in your community to help those facing food insecurity, or donate to help us keep our organizations and communities strong.
