What's better than queer books or some tasty taiyaki? What about having both under the same roof?? That's right, Common Ground Books and Toasty Taiyaki want to find a new home TOGETHER!

Common Ground Books has entered it's third year of business and is looking to grow. Our lease at 128 Bronough is up February 28, 2025. While we have loved our time in that cozy house, we are looking to move to a larger location where we can add a cafe with yummy drinks and treats and to welcome Toasty Taiyaki into the fold with a more permanent location (don't worry, they'll still have their food truck too).

But we need your help to make it possible. Currently, we are looking at locations in Midtown Tallahassee that would support Common Ground Books, the Common Ground Gender Affirming Closet, and Toasty Taiyaki. But moving is expensive. Plus we would need some extra kitchen equipment, maybe some walls knocked down (or built), some permits, and a few months of double rent.

We are hoping to raise $25,000 to help cover these costs plus more which will inevitably pop up. Anyone who donates $50 or more will be invited to a private soft-opening celebration at our new location before our grand opening in 2025.
