I grew up in Seattle in a non-hunting household and always aspired to learn to hunt. While studying Natural Resource Ecology and playing football at the University of Idaho I was surrounded by people deeply connected to hunting traditions who introduced me first to upland bird hunting and later to big game hunting. This was the start of my lifelong hunting journey.
As a hunter who had to carve out my own connection to the rich legacies of people of color in hunting and fishing, I'm passionate about redefining the hunting community to be more inclusive and welcoming. At Hunters of Color, I'm dedicating my skills and passion to ensuring that both new and seasoned hunters of color feel seen, supported, and empowered to participate fully in the outdoors, driving forward HOC’s mission of making the outdoors accessible for everyone.
