Dear Friends of Hearts ’n Homes Rescue,

As we are in the last quarter of 2025, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has supported us so generously over the past 5 years. Because of your compassion and commitment, we’ve been able to continue our mission of saving Coweta County’s homeless dogs, especially the sick, the injured, the forgotten.

The last two years have been some of the hardest the rescue world has ever faced. The number of homeless dogs has risen drastically nationwide, and Georgia now has the fifth highest euthanasia rate in the country. In Coweta County, we are seeing more frequent and larger euthanasia lists, and it has become increasingly difficult to save every adoptable dog in need.

Hearts ’n Homes remains virtually the only rescue consistently stepping up for the sick and injured dogs in our county shelter. We are the ones the shelter calls when no one else will help and we have never said no.

Just in the past several months, your support has allowed us to help:

Several puppies battling parvo
A senior with the largest bladder stone we’ve ever seen
A dog with double cherry eyes
Another senior needing a mass removal
A sweet pup needing entropion surgery
A senior girl from a cruelty case with mammary tumor who is now terminal.

And that’s just a portion of the need. We are also caring for several hospice fosters requiring ongoing medical attention, special diets, and daily comfort. We’ve had to rely heavily on boarding for dogs without available foster homes all while still providing food, vaccinations, preventatives, and love to every pup in our care.

The truth is, expenses are rising for everyone, and rescue is no exception. But these dogs have no one else. We are their lifeline. And now, we need your help more than ever.

We’re asking you to help us make it Christmas in July by making your annual donation today. Your gift, no matter the size will help us continue this vital work and save lives that would otherwise have no chance.
