Give FASD a Seat at the Education Table
Why give?
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders affect learning in ways that are often misunderstood in the classroom. With a prevalence of 1 in 20, there is likely at least one student with FASD in every classroom, many of whom struggle with attention, memory, executive skills, and adaptive functioning rather than motivation or effort. Without the right supports, students with FASD can be mislabeled, disciplined instead of helped, or pushed out of learning environments that were never designed with their disability in mind.
How will my gift make a difference?
With your donation, FASD United can create practical classroom tools and resources for educators to help schools better identify and support students with FASD early, continue our work on the National Education Survey, and families of students with FASD can continue to receive resources and support from our Family Navigator Program. Donations make it possible for our Policy Center to advocate for education systems that recognize FASD as a lifelong disability. Your investment helps give students with FASD a seat at the table.
