Help Fill Their Bowls

Every animal that comes through our doors needs safety, care, and kindness.

And every single one of them needs food.

Over the next year, Fayette Regional Humane Society will need about $20,000 worth of food to care for the dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens who depend on us. Thanks to generous community donations, about half of that food is donated to us. But we still need to purchase approximately $10,000 worth of food to keep every bowl filled throughout the year.

That is why we are launching our new Food Bowl Fund.

From July 13–19, every gift to the Food Bowl Fund will help provide the nutritious food our animals need to heal, grow stronger, and feel safe again. And thanks to a generous donor, the first $3,000 donated will be matched dollar for dollar. That means your gift can go twice as far to feed hungry animals.

For many of the animals who come to us, food is one of the first steps toward healing. Some arrive thin, weak, and painfully hungry after being abandoned or neglected. Some are tiny babies who need formula and bottle feedings around the clock. Others need soft food because they are too young or too sick to eat regular kibble.

Your donation helps provide the food they need most, including:

Kibble for adult dogs and cats
Soft food for rescues who need gentler meals
Kitten and puppy formula for babies who need bottle feeding
Special food for animals recovering from illness, neglect, or injury
