At Founders Lewisville we believe in the importance of teaching our students from an early age how to annotate in their literature books. Annotations make it easy to find important information quickly when you look back and review a text. It helps you familiarize yourself with both the content and organization of what you read. At Founders, we also believe it is important to start to build a personal library for the students. One they will keep with them for a very long time.

Every year our campus spends about $20,000 to purchase these great works for the students in 6th-12th grade to have their own copy that they keep. We don't add it to the supply list because we want to make sure that every student has the exact same copy.

If you are able, please consider making a tax deductible donation towards our Literacy Fund that purchases these books. The amount we spend per student (6th-12th grade) varies by grade level but a good estimate is $30/student. Thank you!
