FCO's Giving Tuesday 2025

Dear Friend,

This Giving Tuesday, I'm reaching out to share something special happening right here in our community—and to ask for your support.

As Director of the Fredericksburg Community Orchestras, I've witnessed firsthand how music can transform lives and bring healing when we need it most. This summer,  when devastating floods struck Kerr County, FCO musicians gathered to perform a memorial service—offering comfort through music when words simply weren't enough. 

This May, we reinvented FCO with a bold new vision: to bring the transformative power of string music to everyone in Fredericksburg and surrounding communities.

Already this year, we've:

• Launched an intergenerational community orchestra blending professional musicians with talented adults and advancing young players
• Started youth string classes for children who might never otherwise touch a violin—discovering talents they never knew they had
• Become the ONLY source of string education in Fredericksburg
