Wade's Continuing Education

Wade has been doing incredible work with Free Dog Trainers as our first apprentice. For him to advance to a Lead Trainer position in Sonoma County, we need to ensure he has the depth of knowledge required of that position.

To get there, we're hoping to send him to Austin Pets Alive!

Austin Pets Alive is one of the largest animal sheltering organizations in the country. They have a huge team dedicated to dog behavior. People travel from around the world to visit their organization and learn more. Devan has been collaborating with the team at Austin Pets Alive for years, and will be visiting to talk about bringing Free Dog Trainers to more communities around the country. We'd love to have Wade join Devan to work hands-on with the behavior team in Austin, and get experience with the range of behavior cases they work with in their shelter.

Following three days at Austin Pets Alive, Wade will join Devan in Oklahoma. Devan will be speaking at a National Animal Control Association conference about dog behavior. They have approved Wade to audit this three day conference for free to broaden his experience beyond strictly "dog behavior."
