Support the Journey, Not Just the Crisis: Free Forever–Latisha’s House

When people hear about human trafficking, they often focus on the moment someone leaves exploitation. But for survivors, stepping away from that situation is just the beginning. They need time, safety, and resources to heal, learn, and rebuild their lives. Survivors have agency and strength; they need support more than saving.

At Latisha’s House, we provide that support. We offer trauma‑informed housing, counseling, and life‑skills training so survivors can move from crisis to independence. Everyone who stays with us is treated with dignity and respect. Survivors are the experts of their own experiences, and our role is to walk alongside them, not to sensationalize or retell their trauma.

Take “Maria” (name changed) as an example. When she arrived at Latisha’s House, she had just left exploitation with little more than hope. In our program, she found a safe home, 24/7 care, and classes on budgeting, cooking, and career skills. With her own determination and the support of a compassionate community, Maria now lives independently and even mentors other survivors. Her journey shows what’s possible when we invest in people’s futures instead of focusing only on their past.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting you to invest in journeys like Maria’s. There’s no fundraising goal—every gift makes a difference.

  • A $50 one‑time donation provides a night of safe housing and care.

  • A $25 monthly donation ensures ongoing counseling, education, and support every day.

  • Any amount helps sustain our mission so survivors never walk alone.

Your generosity fuels lasting change. By supporting Latisha’s House, you’re not just responding to a crisis; you’re helping survivors reclaim their lives and thrive. Thank you for standing with us and making freedom possible.
