As the year draws to a close, your presence, practice, and support have been the cornerstone of our community, and for that, we extend our deepest gratitude. Our work is compassion in action! We hold space and provide a silent refuge for nourishment and knowledge.
Together, we've sat in silent meditation, delved deep into the teachings of the Buddha, and cultivated a place of healing. Highlights from this year include:
Retreats: Our retreats offered immersive experiences, allowing practitioners to deepen their practice away from the distractions of everyday life.
Weekly Meditation Practice Group: We started offering weekly online meditation practice. Our sangha has grown, with more individuals finding solace and insight in our regular gatherings.
Dharma Talks and Workshops: Esteemed teachers from around the country shared wisdom on topics ranging from loving-kindness, mindful living and cultivating courage.
Expanded Geographic Reach: This year we hosted retreats in Bay St. Louis and Biloxi, MS, Swanee, TN and Fort Mitchell, AL
Partnerships with Regional Sanghas: We partnered with other practicing sanghas to offer our teachers as speakers and offer meditation opportunities with Sama Studio in Arabi, LA, the Shambhala Center of Atlanta, GA and the Wolfe Studio dojo in Jackson, MS
Recovery Retreat: We held our very first grant funded retreat for a specialized community, this recovery retreat that was a full scholarship event which hosted students from 6 states.
These accomplishments are not just milestones but stepping stones toward a more mindful and compassionate world. None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support.
As we look forward to the coming year, we aspire to expand our offerings:
More Scholarship availability for all offerings
More Residential and Online Programing
Continuing our unique way of keeping these teachings accessible in the south.
To bring these visions to life, we humbly ask for your support. Your generous donation will directly impact our ability to continue offering a haven for all who seek peace and understanding. No contribution is too small, and each gift is a seed planted in the garden of our collective well-being.
