Story

The course will overview emotional regulation for children in foster care, children who are adopted or have experienced trauma. These experiences often impact a child’s ability to recognize and manage strong reactions related to their emotions. It will also overview the impact of sensory processing on a child’s behaviors, and practical ways to help children meet their sensory needs. This information is beneficial for caregivers or professionals who interact with children in foster care / adoption who have frequent behavioral outbursts or have difficulty expressing their feelings.

This course will be led by Caitlyn Wear and Rebecca Soliwoda.
