Saslee and her children waited nine months for a space in our shelter. Some of those nights were spent sleeping in a car. Right now, there are 34 unsheltered families in Durham and 24 others two weeks away from joining them. Those families and the 20 currently staying with us are counting on FMF for the support and services they need to move beyond homelessness.
