About Us

Welcome to FoCo Roller Derby's 13th Annual Skate-A-Thon! We are grateful for your support as we prepare to roll out our exciting roller derby plans in 2024.

Founded in 2006, FoCo Roller Derby is a skater-owned and operated nonprofit that fosters athleticism, sportspersonship, inclusion, and empowerment of its members through the sport of flat track roller derby. We currently have 45 active members, including skaters, officials, and volunteers.

Skate-A-Thon is critical to our fundraising, as it provides needed dollars for operational expenses, such as renting venues for practices and games, community outreach, and travel. What’s more, all donations are tax deductible.

Roller derby is more than a sport here in Northern Colorado. It is a community. We strive to uphold what we tell every new recruit at their first meeting, that “derby will always be here.” Though we have faced many challenges in the wake of the pandemic, our league has prevailed thanks to our dedicated members, many of whom have worked countless hours to preserve our organization and uplift our community.

With your support we can continue to provide an enriching derby experience for all who are looking to be a team, have fun, and brew victory!
