Health Initiatives

Recognizing that health is foundational to stability and opportunity, KCDC is expanding access to high-quality care across our communities. Through a growing partnership with Matter Health, residents in four KCDC neighborhoods now have convenient on-site primary care, wellness support, and chronic disease management. We are also collaborating with Cherokee Health Systems to bring two new, full-service health centers directly into KCDC communities. And at Western Heights, KCDC is partnering with UT Medical Center to create a modern primary care clinic that will provide thousands of resident visits each year. Together, these initiatives ensure that families, seniors, and individuals have the care they need close to home — improving health outcomes and strengthening the neighborhoods we serve.

The Family Investment Foundation is a 501(c)3 component unit of Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC), the public housing authority for Knoxville and Knox County and the redevelopment agency for the City of Knoxville.
