Fresh Start Reptile Rescue is launching our Giving Tuesday campaign under circumstances we never expected.

Nearly $7,000 raised for our animals through the platform Flipcause was never delivered to us. After months of trying to get answers, and with the platform now under a cease-and-desist order from the California Attorney General, it’s clear we may never see those funds.

For a small, volunteer-based reptile rescue, $7,000 isn’t just a number.
It represents winter heating and lighting (our electric bill is not for the faint of heart), fresh produce and feeder insects, medications, vet care, and critical supplies for more than 150 reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates who rely on us every single day.

We were also forced to rebuild our entire website and online store after terminating our Flipcause account—another unexpected expense at the worst possible time.

This Giving Tuesday, we need our community more than ever.
Every donation—large or small—helps us close this devastating shortfall and ensure that every animal remains warm, fed, and cared for.
