The Theta Nu chapter of Sigma Alpha International Music Fraternity was chartered on the campus of FAMU on April 5th, 1997. The 13 Lovely Ladies of Melodic Umoja with the help of Mr. Lindsey Sarjeant, felt that the FAMU Music Department needed a genuine sisterhood that would serve music by catering to ALL Music Ensembles. Currently, you may find our sisters involved throughout the campus and community in music, service, religious, social, and/or academic clubs and organizations.

The "For The Love of Theta Nu" Donation Drive was cultivated so our Alumnae family and friends can have a chance to pour back into the chapter and show support to the Lovely Ladies! Your generous donations will help fund:

Dynamic Programs & Events: Supporting activities that
promote musical growth, personal development, and sisterhood.
Community Service & Philanthropy: Funding projects that give back to the
community through music and collective action.
Leadership Development: Providing opportunities to cultivate
leadership skills and empower future generations.
