This morning, Fabio was not eating, which is extremely unlike him. He then kept laying down, but flat, not a rolling laying like you would see with a colic. Then, his nose started dripping, a lot, puddles. But it wasn't a choke. We got Fenton River Veterinary Hospital out immediately. They tubed Fabio (lavaged his stomach) which would flush out his stomach contents and clear a possible choke and help a possible colic. His signs weren't really pointing to either. No fever, no signs of infection. Because we couldn't come up with an answer and Fabio was not improving, our Veterinary team at FRVH asked to send him into Tufts. We immediately got him in the trailer.
Fabio is at Tufts and they are continuing to lavage his stomach, which is still filling with more fluid. Once his stomach is empty, they can scope him to take a look to see what's going on. We should know more in the morning.
Please help us with this huge emergency vet bill, the estimate is $4500-$5500 at Tufts. And this does not include the emergency vet visit for FRVH.
We need you💔 Fabio needs us all.
