Our movements need excellent facilitators in order to survive, adapt, and thrive. The People’s Saturday School, in partnership with Bridgeport Generation Now and Five Frogs, is excited to offer Facilitation 101. Drawing from our personal experiences facilitating groups of people in k-12 schools, universities, non-profit organizations, and grassroots social movements, we will share our definition of facilitation and discuss principles and practices to create an effective container for a transformative meeting or training. This workshop is open to anyone who is looking to develop their skill in facilitation centering care, accountability, and cooperation. No previous facilitation experience is required. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend both Facilitation 101 on August 16 and Navigating Conflict on October 11. Masks are encouraged and will be provided. Please stay home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive, or had a recent exposure. Lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions/allergies please contact: Christian Mendoza at [email protected] If you have any other questions or concerns please contact: Lindsey Tengatenga at [email protected] Bridgeport Generation Now<br> 1119 Main St, Bridgeport, CT 06604, USA
