We're Celebrating One Year at the Navigation Center And We Need Your Help!

Open Door's is approaching it's 1 year anniversary in the Navigation Center. While we’ve been serving the Harrisonburg and Rockingham communities since 2007, this past year has marked a new chapter in our mission with year-round permanent shelter, on-site case management, and a successful drop-in center.

Open Doors is an independent, local 501(c)(3) non-profit operating out of the Navigation Center. Our mission is to provide safe shelter for the unhoused, as well as compassionate support and access to services for ALL in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community.

What We've Accomplished from Nov. 2024 to June of 2025

🏠 Doubled our Shelter capacity from 40 guests during the rotating model to 80 guests with year round shelter

🏠 Supported 225 Unique Individuals

🏠 Provided Emergency Shelter to 204 Guests

🏠 Sheltered 48 Guests using our Hypothermia Program

🏠 Held 159 Support Sessions at the Drop-in Center
