Join us for a special guided tour of our newest exhibition Please Be Seated: A Century of Chair Design, presented in collaboration with Switch Modern. Led by MODA and Scott Reilly from Switch Modern, this tour will explore the stories behind exquisite pieces of furniture by designers like Eileen Gray, Ron Arad, Philippe Starck, Moooi, Verner Panton, Paola Lenti, and others, whose work makes our homes more beautiful and our bodies more comfortable. Please Be Seated: A Century of Chair Design also explores Shirley Chisholm's iconic statement, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair," with an interactive activity that asks visitors to think about chairs as symbols of space, identity, and empowerment.
