FeedTheStreetsRVA 10-Year Anniversary Capital Campaign

FeedTheStreetsRVA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2016 by a group of Richmond natives and friends who were moved to action after witnessing the growing number of unhoused individuals in their community. What began as a grassroots effort to meet immediate needs has grown into a trusted organization dedicated to creating meaningful change.

Our mission is to create a community that responds to the basic human needs of all while addressing the symptoms of poverty.

In the City of Richmond, the poverty rate stands at 26%, meaning one out of every four residents struggles to meet their basic needs. Since our founding, FeedTheStreetsRVA has served nearly 100,000 individuals, providing meals, hygiene essentials, and critical resources — and that number continues to grow each year.

On November 27, 2026, we will proudly celebrate 10 years of service in our community. In recognition of this milestone, we are launching a $10,000 Capital Campaign to strengthen our operational capacity and sustain our impact for years to come.

Unlike program-specific grants, these funds will support essential unfunded operational expenses that make our day-to-day work possible, including:

Storage space for donated goods
Gas and transportation costs
Cooking supplies and equipment
Facility and vehicle rentals

These behind-the-scenes costs are often overlooked but are critical to ensuring we can continue to show up for our community.

Over the past nine years, FeedTheStreetsRVA has reinvested nearly $250,000 into the Richmond community through grants and individual donor contributions. 100% of donations go directly back into the community to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.

What Your Gift Provides:

$25 → Gas for meal deliveries
$50 → Supplies for 20 hygiene kits
$100 → One week of storage for donated goods
$250 → Meals and essentials for a full service day
$500 → Supports facility + vehicle rentals for major outreach

With your support, we can reach our $10,000 goal and ensure FeedTheStreetsRVA continues to be a lifeline in our city. Together, we can make an everlasting impact as we celebrate our tenth year of service and build for the future.
