Carol Rofstad was a caring, intelligent, and vibrant young woman who left a mark on the hearts of those who knew her at Illinois State University. Carol joined the Delta Zeta sorority shortly after transferring to ISU to pursue her Bachelor's in Psychology and quickly became friends with many other girls. From fundraisers to formals, barn dances, the DZ shuffle, and countless nights enjoying each other's company, Carol was a sister that any sorority member would be lucky to have. She is remembered as an immensely caring, giving, and kind young woman who would go out of her way to help others.
Tragically, Carol was the victim of an attack outside her off-campus sorority house on the night of December 22, 1975. She passed away on Christmas Eve at just 21 years old. This crime remains unsolved. Carol deserves justice and deserves to be remembered.

The money raised in this fundraiser will go toward developing a memorial bench for Carol Rofstad at Illinois State University. We hope this memorial will allow visitors to learn more about Carol and keep her memory alive on campus. Any additional money raised will be used to plant a memorial tree on the Quad in Carol's honor.

Carol is forever missed by her family, friends, sorority sisters, and all those who were lucky to know her.
