MICS 2025-2026 Fundraising Year
The Soar Foundation is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)3 non-profit tasked with fundraising for MICS. In addition, the foundation owns the MICS campus and holds the $31.5M in school bonds incurred to build it. Because charter schools do not receive state funding specifically designated for transportation or buildings, we rely on the generosity of our community to help cover these costs. To streamline Soar Foundation contributions, we offer an overall look at our fundraising efforts throughout the year.
- The Foundation accepts monthly donations through direct deposit, PayPal, or Zelle, which is a great option for those applying for matching funds through their employers. Information is available at this QR code:
- The annual Raptor Run is our largest fundraiser and occurs during the school day on Friday October 10th. You will receive separate information through Parent Square on how to support your child in this fun community event.
- Our second semester events include the PTO Silent Auction and Boosters Color Run.
- Contributions of time through many avenues of volunteerism are encouraged. These include but are not limited to coaching positions, field trip chaperoning, room parent contribution, and participation in the MICS PTO.
- Business sponsorship is available at multiple levels listed here:
Your involvement is essential to the continued success of Mountain Island Charter School. Please read on to discover the actions of capital improvement and community development the Soar Foundation has supported over the years because of the generosity of our community.
