About Fighting for Trevor

Fighting for Trevor is a community-led support initiative established to help Trevor O’Neil access the best possible care as he battles stage IV esophageal cancer at just 21 years old.

Trevor is an active-duty United States Navy sailor serving aboard the USS Constitution in Boston, Massachusetts. A former football captain, Shriners All-Star athlete, and dedicated member of his crew, Trevor has built his life around service, leadership, hard work, and showing up for others.

Earlier this year, Trevor received a diagnosis that few people his age ever face: stage IV esophageal adenocarcinoma. A cancer most commonly diagnosed in adults decades older than him has suddenly become the fight of his life.

In response, family, friends, fellow sailors, veterans, local businesses, neighbors, and supporters from across the country came together to create Fighting for Trevor.

Our mission is simple: to ensure Trevor has access to every available opportunity in his fight against cancer by providing community support, raising awareness, and helping remove financial barriers to treatment, testing, travel, consultations, supportive care, and other needs that may arise throughout his journey.

Fighting for Trevor serves as a central hub for updates, fundraising efforts, awareness campaigns, media outreach, and community engagement. We are committed to sharing Trevor’s story with honesty, dignity, and hope while ensuring supporters have a trusted place to follow his journey and contribute to his fight.
