Fighting for Trevor is a community-led support initiative dedicated to helping Trevor O'Neil access the best possible care as he battles stage IV esophageal cancer at just 21 years old.

Trevor is an active-duty United States Navy fireman stationed aboard the USS Constitution in Boston, Massachusetts. Former football captain, Shriners All-Star athlete, and respected member of his crew, Trevor has spent his life showing up for others with dedication, humility and service.

Earlier this year, Trevor was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal adenocarcinoma, an extraordinarily rare disease for someone his age. Esophageal cancer is most commonly diagnosed in adults over the age of 65 and is almost never seen in otherwise healthy young adults with no known risk factors.

Since his diagnosis, Trevor and his family have pursued treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital while actively exploring additional testing, specialist consultations, clinical trials and treatment options across the country. Every possible avenue is being evaluated in the effort to give Trevor the best chance at beating the odds.

Funds raised through Fighting for Trevor help support expenses related to treatment, travel, lodging, advanced testing, consultations, supportive care, and other costs associated with pursuing the most promising treatment opportunities available.

This initiative was created by family, friends, fellow sailors, veterans and community members who believe Trevor deserves every opportunity to continue this fight with the same determination he has brought to every challenge in his life.
