Our Sponsors are So Important to Us

Keeping the Fletcher Band alive is a huge labor of love!

Here are some things you may not know... Funding the band is not included in the school budget. And the cost for all of the different programs included in the year-round band program exceeds $150,000 (see below for a list of what that pays for).
In addition, around 1/3 of our members qualify for the free or reduced lunch program each year. For these reasons, we rely heavily on fundraising and community support to keep band fees low and provide the best experience possible.

One of the major ways students offset their band fees is by recruiting Sponsors! There's a sponsorship level to fit every budget. When you support the Fletcher Band, you're helping to provide:

- Year-round instruction from our color guard, winds, brass, percussion, and visual directors and instructors.
- Curriculum materials including the music that we perform.
- Instrument/equipment repair, maintenance, and replacement
- Transportation to all performances
- Educational travel opportunities
- Entrance fees for local, regional, and national competitive events
- Awards to recognize outstanding students
- Uniform care, repair, and replacement
- Scholarships for educational camps
- and much more!

You may not know that the band is year round! Band members rehearse or perform 3-6 days a week from July through May. We welcome all levels - from beginner to advanced. No matter where they start, our members work non-stop to perfect their skills and it shows! The Fletcher Band is consistently recognized for excellence at the local, regional, and state levels.

Through their participation, band members develop skills that help them succeed now and in the future - skills like self- discipline, time management, leadership skills, teamwork, work ethic, self-esteem, and so much more.
