The Jews For Food Aid For People In Gaza Tzedakah Campaign aims to raise $360,000 for the Gaza Soup Kitchen.

We understand tzedakah as a practice of solidarity as the path to collective safety and freedom for all people. Through acts of tzedakah we bring more justice into the world, bind ourselves to others, and bring us closer a world redeemed.

While the first phase of the “ceasefire plan” has offered Palestinians in Gaza a respite from nonstop bombing, it has not yet been able to avert the starvation crisis. Though the Israeli government is supposed to be opening all the crossings and permitting 600 trucks to enter each day, less than half that number of trucks are being allowed to enter through just two openings, meaning there is little progress being made on re-nourishing people suffering from malnutrition. Families journey long distances to find water and food and are unable to secure basic necessities. Our campaign is helping to create the political conditions necessary for these policies to change. And in the meantime, our support for the Gaza Soup Kitchen is helping people in Gaza survive this unimaginable crisis.

This Tzedakah Campaign will allow the Gaza Soup Kitchen to continue their operations. The cost of the Gaza Soup Kitchen’s operations is $15,000 per day to run seven kitchens throughout Gaza.
