Disaster Relief

FoodRecovery.org recently received a heartfelt message from our partners at JEE Foods that captures the essence of our disaster relief work:

"Our team wanted to say a huge thank you for coordinating this load and allowing us to be a part of it! The driver was nice, and the product is in really nice condition.

We also wanted to share that these bananas will be used for disaster relief work in North Carolina. Over the past few days, we have received many calls from ministry partners on the ground expressing the need for fresh produce. So, the timing of this load was perfect.

I will be headed down to the Asheville area with all the bananas this weekend and will take photos of the distribution as I can.

All in all, thank you again for these, and know that they will have a huge impact!" 

This 33,696 lbs donation was a rejected load headed to a landfill, and thanks to your support not only have we prevented perfectly good food from being wasted but also provided critical resources to those in need.
