News continues to come out about the gap that exists for so many Black and Latina/o Founders in the way they access capital, resources, and networks that could propel them forward. As a result, so many great businesses fall short of scaling up and building jobs in communities that need their leadership. The truth is that we can all be part of the solution, here's how.

Way We Accomplish:

The Founders and Funders of Color Foundation began in 2022 within the Southeast, the region reported by the Kauffman Fellows to have raised 42.9% less than the median nationwide average.

For 2023, we are expanding and rolling out in-person events nationwide across 9 cities! We're here to support Black and Latina/o Founders in need of resources, digitization strategies, funding, and network expansion nationwide.

We are supporting founders maturing and getting ready for venture capital and other sources of funding by leveraging in-person events that:

Educate founders of funding options available in the market (venture capital, private equity, crowdfunding and Angel investments).

Enable readiness of funding requests through culturally competent curriculum tailored to founders who have historically not had access to this information.

Brings Funders into underserved sections in the country for ensuring deployment of capital is available across all quadrants, especially in underinvested markets
