For over two years, young Camila* endured unimaginable hardship at the hands of her captors—trapped in exploitation, isolated, and sexually abused. She was ensnared in Acapulco by a pimp who exploited her until she managed to escape. But with nowhere to go, she found herself in a perilous red-light district.

That's when hope arrived. One of our courageous shelter volunteers, risking her own safety, entered that dangerous zone and rescued Camila, pulling her out of the cycle of exploitation. Camila was connected with a case and manager and Kaleido funded shelter, who supported her through her healing journey. Today, Camila is a beacon of strength and success.

Kaleido is an organization that rebuilds the lives of human trafficking survivors through specialized shelters.

Each survivor we receive represents a new life project, which is why the we care provide is comprehensive, multidisciplinary and personalized.

According to the Walk Free Foundation, there are 50 million child trafficking victims, and the Trafficking In Persons report estimates that than less than 1% of victims are identified and rescued.

Rescuing children from the horrors of human trafficking is only the first step, their freedom is only the start, but true restoration begins with you.

Rescue and Protection ~ Collaboration with Law Enforcement and Social Services to rescue trafficking victims, and provide them with a safe refuge
Recovery~ Offer comprehensive recovery and rehabilitation services
Empowerment~ Foster empowerment among survivors by equipping them with the necessary tools and support to regain control of their lives, and to build a secure and prosperous future
Education and Training~ Provide survivors with educational and vocational training opportunities, such as the pastry workshop to help them acquire and new skills and enhance their self sufficiency
Prevention and Awareness~ Implement education and awareness programs to prevent human trafficking, inform the public about the issue, and change attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate sexual exploitation
Rights Advocacy~ Advocate for the rights of trafficking and sexual exploitation survivors at the local, national, and international levels and work the influence policies and legislation to protect and support survivors
Research and Monitoring~ Collect and analyze data on human trafficking and sexual exploitation, to improve intervention and prevention strategies, and to assess the effectiveness of the provided services and programs
