Freya Luck

She was shot and left for dead, but Freya Luck still has fight left.  When a rescue partner (Luck's Rescue) in rural Alabama reached out for help with a golden retriever who had a severely injured leg and was evading capture.  They finally found her and cornered her under a shed to help get her in a crate.  She had almost no fight left, but she mustered up the courage to willingly (with encouragement) enter the crate.  Once safely at the vet, they were able to determine the cause of her gruesome injury, she had been shot.  Shot and left for dead.   Freya Luck's leg was unfortunately unable to be saved and has been amputated.  With this type of injury comes a very high risk of infection developing, we are hoping she got to the vet in time before major infection could set up.  To top this all off, Freya Luck is heartworm positive, riddled with intestinal parasites, fleas, ticks, ehrlichia (a tickborne illness), as well as worn down teeth, likely from life on a chain.  Freya Luck has been down on her luck, but we are hoping to be turning that around now.  Freya has a mounding medical bill with her amputation, supportive care, and future heartworm treatment.  Freya Luck is now under the care of GRRA (thanks to Luck's Rescue for getting her and reaching out for help). Any help towards her expenses would be greatly appreciated as every dollar counts.  Please help us with Freya Luck's care.
