This campaign directly supports the professional musicians, poets and Sound Engineer of Stockton Soul as they partner with string teachers at a National Music Teachers Conference for a transformational, hands-on workshop: "The Soul Orchestra: Learning Black Music Through Performance."  During the workshop, String educators will experience what it’s like to step out of the traditional orchestra setting and play Black Music with a live band — exploring groove, improvisation, amplification, and stylistic flexibility in real time. Your contribution goes toward fairly paying the musicians for rehearsals, preparation, and performance, making it possible for teachers to gain practical tools they can immediately bring back to their classrooms.
